Heavy bio-fouling had been identified in a waste pipe on one of Zeon Chemical's sites in South Wales. This had resulted in a reduction in pipeline flow rates. If bio-fouling was to continue to increase, then this would result in a major jetting project resulting in high costs and enabling works.
