The SUEZ Ice Pigging team have recently completed work in the Czech Republic for potable water supply. Positive pipe cleaning results were achieved after cleaning over 7000 meters of pipes.
On one of the operations carried out in Ostrava, over 99kg of sediment was removed with Ice Pigging. Further to this, Ice Pigging was able to save significant amounts of water by only using 1.4 x the pipe volume of water. In addition to the sediment removal and water savings, Ice Pigging also saved on time with the entire operation taking less than four hours, minimising customer disruption.
The Ice Pigging work was completed in Pilzen and resulted in approximately 65kg of sediment being removed.
SUEZ teams from the UK and Czech Republic worked closely together with the local water company to ensure all operations ran smoothly, with as little disruption as possible to the customers.
Dan Boyce, Project Manager of SUEZ had this to say:
‘A collaborative SUEZ effort showcased Ice Pigging operations for a number of water companies across the Czech Republic. Despite some challenging conditions, the process continued to impress customers with its versatility and capabilities in cleaning distance and visible sediment removal.’
