Following on from last year's purchase of the full Ice Pigging patent we have seen a growing interest from a number of industries such as food & beverage and home & personal care.
In support of our growth into these new markets, we are very pleased to announce the acquisition of ADHQ Engineering Limited. ADHQ is a specialist Bristol based company who were formed back in 2010 by four post-graduates from the University of Bristol, each of whom assisted with the development of the Ice Pigging technology. The company are responsible for the design and manufacture of Ice Pigging machines that can help reduce wastage and improve efficiency in the production of food, drink and FMCG sectors.
We have been working together for a number of years and the acquisition now enables us to continue to develop and manufacture the equipment for a huge number of applications. The deal also sees the formalising of a supply arrangement between ourselves and Ziegra Ice Machines, a provider of ice makers - a fundamental component in Ice Pigging machines.
Our Director of Ice Pigging, Matthew Stephenson, had this to say:
"Today's deal marks the final piece in the jigsaw of our plans for commercialising this fascinating Ice Pigging technology. As well as being a truly original innovation, it can be applied across a very wide range of industries offering improvements in efficiency and reduction in waste in a very compelling way. Acquiring ADHQ has given us much greater flexibility to adapt the solution to meet the high demands of the food, beverage and FMCG industries, for which we see great potential".
